USEF Vaccination Rule Change
Do you participate in USEF sanctioned events? If you do, please be advised of their recent rule change regarding vaccination against Equine Influenza (Flu) and Equine Herpesvirus (Rhino). As of 12/1/2015, all horses competing in USEF licensed events must be vaccinated against Flu and Rhino within 6 months of arriving at the competition. If your horse cannot be vaccinated against Flu or Rhino for medical reasons, you must have a signed letter from your veterinarian stating this. You also will be need to have a log of temperatures taken twice daily starting 7 days before arriving at the competition and also twice daily throughout the time your horse is at the competition.
